  I have had nothing but positive experiences with every person at Island Vet. Dr. Martin takes excellent care of my cat Shadow, and when Shadow had an allergic reaction to her vaccines Dr. Martin had me come back right away and even waived the fee for the time she spent treating my cat. They are all lovely people who truly care for your pets.
  
  EDIT: I brought Shadow back because she had a small cut in her eye. Dr Martin wasn’t there, so a vet who wasn’t familiar with my cat was there to take care of her. She was a perfectly lovely person, and I feel bad writing this. But I told her about my cats allergies and she assured me the medication she was administering was fine. It wasn’t. Shadow went into anaphylactic shock almost immediately and I was told there was a chance she wouldn’t make it. It was so upsetting- the idea of losing my pet especially after I had said that there were notes in Shadow’s file about her allergies. The procedure/medication to stabilize her was VERY expensive, and although they gave me
  a discount, it was still money that I didn’t need to spend because I tried to warn her about my cat’s allergies. Of course, all I want is Shadow to be happy and healthy, but this experience was nothing but traumatic.
